2013 Smith & Hook Proprietary Red Blend Central Coast image

A blend of 47% Merlot, 35% Malbec, 10% Petite Sirah and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.  This wine has a good amount of dark berry fruit, currants, plum almost sundried with notes of toffee, roasted coffee, espresso, dark chcoolate and this wine sees 26 months in oak.  Dark and rich on the tongue with ripe round tannins a big but drinkable wine with a good hand of oak spice, hints of peppery spice and dark coco on the finish.  Finish 40+    Very Good +
