2010 Chateau Belgrave Haut Medoc

A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petite Verdot, this classified Growth is just outside the St. Julien Boundary and is separated by a stream from their neighbor Lagrange. They make 50,000 cases. Classic bouquet of fresh earth, some herbal and floral notes along with dark spices, tobacco and black pepper. A big and chewy wine with lots of dark currant and plum fruit with fresh mineral and earthy notes, dark coco and a firm hand of tannins, nice richness and good length on the finish, very well built this wine is even better on the second day.
