This Organic and Biodynamic certified wine is made of a blend of Pinot Blanc Vrai, and Pinot Auxerrois coming from various parcels all standing on the Epfig village.
The vines are grown using Biodynamic principles since 1998, meaning no chemical fertilizer, weed killer nor pesticide is added whatsoever, all the work is done by hand and ploughing is the only mechanical operation on the soil. By today all the vines have reached a mature age of more than 15 years old, allowing the roots to dive the deepest they would into the ground.
The result is an uncommonly full-bodied and structured Pinot Blanc, yet dry. It exhales fresh and fruity aromas of yellow peaches and nectarine. A hint of hazelnut comes out with air. The mouth is thick and tense by a nice minerality. It is an easy-pairing wine with food, though it will be at its best with terrines, white meat, fish or cheese
