The Cabernet Franc was planted in 1976 and this was used as a field blend 1992 they started labeling as a varietal as this is one of the best for their soil type and climate, has a hint of that peppery spice to the dark currant berry fruit, dark tobacco spice and some loamy earth aromas, nice complexity here on the nose, seems to blossom on the second day. A solid core of dark currant and dark cherry fruit on the tongue with hints of black pepper spice and that earthy character from the nose coming through on the finish, ripe tannins and a nice freshness to the finish, there are some big tannins here but they are fairly ripe smoothing out a bit on the second day, I would agree the best wine in the line-up. Finish 45+ Excellent
