2008 Fongoli Montefalco Rosso Riserva

Organically farmed vineyards, a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrentino Montefalco aged one year longer, 3 years before release and they have a higher percentage of Sagrentino 20%. Has that certain wild nuance that comes from the Sagrentino varietal along with some black spices and minty notes. Nice structure and depth of flavors on the tongue with a firm hand of acidity and fresh earth like notes to the finish, black spices and that rustic and wild note of the Sagrentino again at the finish, some tannins here but lots of everything this wine just needs a bit of time.
