"Medium berry and tart cherry flavors played off against sweet oak mark this offering from Hess. Like many youthful Cabs from the Mt. Veeder area of Napa it has a lean angularity with moderately drying tannins. It does have aging potential and should be at its best after 2001." Wine Enthusiast. (6/1999).
