2020 Daou Vineyards Chardonnay Paso Robles
The 2020 Chardonnay presents luscious aromas of pineapple, pear, and Granny Smith apple with appealing hints of lemon chiffon, nectarine, and honeysuckle. As the experience unfolds, the nose further reveals hints of star jasmine, nutmeg, and vanilla bean. 2019 Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
(92 Points) The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon from Daou's Discovery Series is blended with 10% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. It is still in barrel but will age around 10 months in 60% new French oak. It has a deep ruby-purple color and a nose of cassis, garrigue, charcuterie and sweet baking spices. 2018 Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Paso Robles
(93 Points) The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. It is still in barrel and will age about 18 months in 50% new French oak. The nose opens with tar, cassis and gentle blue fruit touches with notes of dried herbs, milk chocolate and coffee beans. The medium to full-bodied palate is lushly fruited but very fresh, with lifted herbal character, bright freshness and a firm but very finely grained structure, finishing long.
