"It wasn't always like this. Before Paris, people didn't drink our wine. I mean, my friends did. But you could hardly consider their palates discerning..."

 Bo Barrett - Bottle Shock

If your cellar is not completely full you could be cutting your life expectancy dangerously short, so it’s time to stock up!

Fisher Vineyards is one of Napa Valley’s landmark wineries, this winery started in 1973 and at that time there were only approximately 30 wineries in Napa Valley.   Fisher Vineyards was one of the new kids on the block and they had some of the best wine makers and viticulture hands in the business to get things started.

The timeline is below and the names that are part of the story are the best in the business; however Fisher Vineyards is still not a well-known name to many wine lovers.  Maybe it is because there are over 400 wineries in Napa Valley today and many of the older established wineries are lost in the shuffle but Fisher Vineyards is making some of the best wines in California and the tale of the tape is not only the scores from the critics but the people who have been involved in making the wines over the last 50 years including;  Philip Togni, Paul Hobbs, Mia Klein, David Abreau and Aaron Pott to name a few, but  the real story here is the Fisher family.  They have maintained the integrity of the wines and the fact that they are still a relatively small family-owned winery that has been making wine for 50+ years makes them unique.  Today, Whitney Fisher is at the helm making some of the best wines that California has to offer.

As I like to say, “it is not what you know, but who” and the national director of sales for Fisher Vineyards Lizz Cintron has been one of Wine Watch’s best friends for over 25 years.  So, when Lizz offered me an array of older vintage wines from the library of Fisher at the same price as the new releases, I immediately said send me a case of everything!!  I love these wines and now can host an event with 20+ years of wines from one of California’s top wineries.

Join us as we welcome our good friend Lizz Cintron back to South Florida to showcase an incredible line-up of wines going back to 2003 vintage including every wine that this landmark winery produces.  The fee for this tasting which includes dinner is 250+ tax, for reservations e-mail andy@winewatch.com or call 954-523-9463.  Please let us know when you make your reservations if you have any food allergies or aversions and chefs Toni and Dani will be happy to accommodate you.
