“You can’t buy happiness but you can buy wine, and that’s kind of the same thing.” – Anonymous
And Burgundy is one of the wines that really makes me happy so if you didn’t notice this event on the calendar a few weeks ago that’s because it was just added over the last few days when I realized that we did not have an event on Thursday night in two weeks.
We have an incredible collection of 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 vintage wines from Burgundy in the store right now so I figured it’s time to open up a few bottles to see how two of my favorite village wines are drinking at this young stage in their life.
There are only so many great vintages of Burgundy to go around and most recently you have 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 four outstanding vintages in a row!! You can argue which vintage is best overall but these five are all contenders across the board for both red and White Burgundy.
The top wines from this vintage may still be years away from their peak but that is why we do these events. Tonight, we are focusing on red wines and from the villages of Vosne Romanee and Chambolle Musigny. This is a sit down pre poured event and is limited to 14 tasters. The fee for this tasting which includes dinner is $225 + tax, for reservations call 954-523-9463 or e-mail andy@winewatch.com.
