Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends

Tom Waits

We have our second “Big Bottle Bawling” New Year’s Eve party and we will be opening some incredible big bottles this evening with everything in 3 liter format and up.  If you don’t want to sit down for this entire “Once in a Lifetime” event we will also be open to the public and will be offering almost all the wines that we have in large format by the glass this evening.

So, if you want to come by and drink a glass of the 1995 Dom Perignon out of 6 Liter Methuzalum for $95 and then a glass of the 2003 Grace Family Cabernet Sauvignon Blank Vineyard out of 6 liter format at $95 you can reserve your glass today.  We are only offering the equivalent of 1 bottle of each of these large format wines to our guests this evening and the rest will be drank by our big bawlers.  Check out the Wine Bar Selections Wine by the Glass and you can reserve your wines by the glass today on line for New Years.

We have the equivalent of 32 regular sized bottle that are scheduled to go down this evening and a menu that will be unforgettable as well.  We only have 8 tables in the Wine Bar and we are only taking one reservation per table for the entire evening.  We have already sold two tables so that means there are only 6 tables left!  Most restaurants are overbooked and rush you on your way on New Year’s Eve but we are only selling each table one time.   The price for this incredible “Once In a Lifetime” Big Bottle event is $500 per person + tax and that includes dinner!  For reservations call 954-523-9463 or e-mail andy@winewatch.com.

The Ultimate Big Bottle New Year’s Eve Party!
Monday, December 31st
7:30pm -Till 2019!

BIG DOM.jpg

1995 Dom Perignon Brut Champagne 6 Liter (Methuzalum)
$10,000

(95 points) Wonderfully subtle, complex aromas of white flowers, acacia honey, minerals, nuts and mushroom, with musky and leesy nuances. Oily, rich and smoky but with terrific verve and lift. Quite substantial and chewy for a young D.P. but not at all heavy. Yellow plum and strong soil tones in the middle and on the palate-staining finish. Offers a rare combination of richness and finesse. (11/2002) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

BIG MONTRACHET.jpg

1999 Louis Jadot Montrachet Grand Cru 3 Liter
Price: $2500.00

(93-95 points)  "Harvested at 13.6% natural potential alcohol, the 1999 Montrachet has a magnificent spice cake, almond paste, and hazelnut-laden nose. Medium to full-bodied and suggestive of drinking liquid velvet, this is a big, deep, broad, and well-focused wine. Pears, apples, stones, and a myriad of spices can be found throughout its highly expressive and flavorful character. It is a huge success for the vintage, and an exceptional wine in its own right. It should stand the test of time." (02/01)  Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

2003 Grace Family Cabernet Sauvignon Blank Vineyard Napa (6 Liter)
Price: $1500.00
In 2001 the Graces began producing a wine from a 1.8-acre vineyard owned by Chotsie and Alan Blank, which is located next to Caymus.  The Blank's vineyard was planted with cuttings from Grace Family Vineyards but the soil and microclimate at Blank are unique and this 2003 vintage out of 6 liter should be drinking beautifully right now.

1992 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley (6 Liter)
Price: $1500.00
(92 Points) The 1992 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was released in August, 1996, and was sold out within 24 hours. It possesses that tell-tale Silver Oak, lavishly oaky, Provencal herb, sweet, smoky, jammy black-cherry and cassis-scented nose. Full-bodied, opulent, and succulent, this creamy-textured, luscious, low acid wine should continue to drink well for years. These All-American Cabernet Sauvignons continue to be "can't miss" propositions with the majority of Cabernet lovers.  Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

2007 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Asili Red Label Reserva (3 Liter)
Price: $2000.00

(97 points) The 2007 Barbaresco Riserva Asili is sweet, perfumed and totally gorgeous in its round, sensual fruit. Silky, elegant tannins frame the long, harmonious finish. Stylistically the 2007 is most similar to the 2004, although it seems to have more exuberant, opulent fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2037. (AG) (2/2011) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
