Vintage Burgundy Tasting at Wine Watch Back to 1953!

A meal without wine is called breakfast.

If you have been paying attention to my propaganda over the years you know that Burgundy is one of my favorite wine regions of the world and when we recently acquired these old wines from one of our cellar acquisitions I immediately set these old dogs aside for scientific evaluation.  I have never had a Burgundy from the 1953 vintage and last 1929 that I had was from this cellar and part of the collection du Docteur Barolet and not only was it the wine of the night it was one of the single greatest wines that has ever passed these lips.

We have an incredible collection of older burgundies on the table this evening going back to 1953, including 1972, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1985 and the youngest wine tonight is from the 1990 vintage!!

We even have a few of these wines available for sale and right now we have an incredible collection of wines from the 1970’s and 1980’s in the store right now, so I have included them on this offering.
