2010 Charles Melton Nine Popes Barossa

A blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre, this wine has a very rich and ripe nose of fresh berry pie, black cherry, black raspberry, blueberry and dark licorice spice, toasty oak campfire notes, along with sweet balsamic, dark coco and more very well endowed bouquet.  A big and chewy wine on the tongue with thick and viscous, ripe round tannins with black spices and molassis and that toasty smoky oak note through the finish.  this wine is showing nicely right now and is ready to drink.  Finish 40+    Excellent +
