2007 Azelia Barolo

Mix of 6 different vineyard sites from 70% Serralunga 30 Castiglione more perfumed and floral and then the structure and clay minerality a wonderful combination of both , this cuvee is 100% large slovonian oak. A very forward and appealing year, the spring was really worm and the tannins were very ripe very pretty and seductive bouquet rose petals light black spice and tar like notes very traditional bouquet red cherry and some of that licorice spice very charming on the palate with soft tannins for such a youngster very approachable with distinct minerality and lovely freshness through the finish.
