(90 points) The 2011 Bramare Malbec is sourced from vineyards in San Carlos, Tupungato and Tunuyan in the Uco Valley. The grapes ferment in stainless steel vats with a total of 24 days of maceration and is aged in French and American oak for 18 months (19% new – down from 30% last year!). It is a happy, aromatic, fresh Malbec, very approachable, with notes of violets and red and blue berries. The oak is well-integrated into the wine and it is perceived in the shape of sweet spices, which complement the flavors in the medium to full-bodied palate, which lean toward red fruit (strawberry). An approachable, pleasant, fresh Malbec. Drink now-2019.
