I love Hershey's chocolate. I feel the same about chocolate as I do about wine. Connoisseurs like dark chocolate and they like nasty wine that doesn't taste good to me. I don't get it!

Holy Guacamole Soldier!   It’s Holiday boot Camp Cooking Class time with the world's laziest white man Chef Oliver Saucy- so get down here this Thursday for basic training.

You know that there will be friend and family type personnel in your home for the holidays and those people will be hungry and thirsty.  Most people with normal jobs aka civilians have time off work at this time of year and seem to consume a lot more grub and hooch at this time of year so you need to be ready.

These personnel will eat you out of house and home if you don't get down to Cafe Maxx to let Oliver and company show you how to prepare for your free loading family this holiday season.

Oliver is fully trained in Holiday Operations and can give you some helpful hints on dishes that you can prepare before hand to make your holidays not only tasty but less stressful for you- commander in Chief of your home.

I am talking to you, “Mr. Don't know what to make for that holiday party" and you “Mrs.what should we serve our friends that come over to drink all our good wine?"  We also have the director of wine libations on hand Andrew aka the wine guy from Wine Watch - You know they guy "Always drink the good stuff first."   He has some good stuff here that you can serve your family and not be embarrassed to drink yourself.  This is the LAST CLASS for the year and your only chance to get ready for the holidays!

The class is then followed by a sit-down dinner and wine tasting, sampling the foods we've just prepared (it's really more like "Eater-Tainment). Cost for this event is $65 + tax + gratuity for reservations call 954-782-0606.

Menu

Jumbo lump crab phyllo purses with corn sauce

Florida lobster empanadas

Grilled flatbread pizza, BBQ shrimp, jack cheese and Andouille sausage

Pecan-bourbon and chocolate chip diamonds

Double chocolate raspberry bars

Italian Panettone with eggnog sauce and berries

The idea behind our wine choices for this event is not to show you a wine that pairs with each course but rather to show you four different wines that have characteristics that may work with some of the foods but maybe not others.  This way you get to see potentially good as well as potentially bad food and wine pairings.
