For the Girls...but the guys are invited too!  Join New River Fine Art on Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm to taste extraordinary rose champagnes and fine wines and raise money for a very worthy cause - The Royal Dames of Cancer Research and the Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute at Nova Southeastern University.

Thomas Arvid's newest collection of original paintings will be exhibited and we will unveil his latest work in progress, " For the Girls". Thomas created this work as a tribute to a dear friend's fight against breast cancer.  When completed, a limited edition will be released with proceeds benefitting cancer research.

Dom Perignon, La Grande Dame and Krug rose champagnes are the brands featured in the painting and we will taste all three that night in addition to some wonderful wines from the Adavino portfolio

Dom Perignon Rose Brut Champagne 2003

Price: $433.50 Sale $381.48 Case $4422

(94 Points) What’s more, the price-quality rapport here is excellent by any Champagne standards, and puts that of many a prestige cuvee to shame. Moet’s 2003 Brut Rose Dom Perignon exhibits both richness and robustness reflecting its torrid vintage, yet manages to stint neither on primary juiciness nor transparency to nuance; nor does it come off as at all heavy. Lightly cooked ripe strawberry and fig infused with rose hip, licorice, Ceylon tea, heliotrope and leather inform a delightfully forward nose and lush, effusively fruity palate. A tart and seedy edge to the strawberry serves for invigoration; and lobster shell reduction serves for mouthwatering salinity and somehow downright sweet animal savor. There is a hint of tannin, but it is fine-grained and suggestive of structural support. A long, seductively rich finish manages to harbor not just the immediately aforementioned virtues, but also a sense of transparency to floral and tea-like nuances and to virtually shimmering stoniness. This alluring and distinctive beauty should be worth following for at least the next half dozen years. eRobertParker.com #1113 Nov 2013 Review: David Schildknecht Veuve Clicquot

La Grande Dame Brut Champagne 2004

Price: $ 175.50 Sale $154.44 Case $1791 (94 points) Very elegant, this is all in the details, offering precise and silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a smoky, mineral undertow that enriches flavors of patisserie pear, crystallized honey, kumquat and toasted almond. Offers a clean, citrus-tinged finish. Drink now through 2027. (11/ 2012) Wine Spectator
