1998 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Reserve
(89-91) The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is one of the vintage's few stars. Production exceeds 20,000 cases of this dark ruby/purple-colored wine with excellent cassis fruit combined with a touch of dried herbs, spicy oak, and licorice. Sweet and lush, with low acidity and ripe fruit, it should drink well when released, and evolve for 15+ years. Robert Parker Wine Advocate # 126 Jan 2000
